The business also operates UK wide working across a number of SMEs and large Corporations with a client list that is looking to continue to grow around 20% year on year.


As a result of continued expansion, my client has immediate requirements for a field based technical engineer to work on installation, maintenance and migration projects across the Cambridgeshire area.


Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will come from a similar IT field based or technical engineer environment ideally from a managed services or IT consultancy business.


You will have strong technical understanding of dealing with infrastructure, network and cloud technologies and also comfortable working in a client facing and site consultation role.


This would suit a first or second line techy looking to expand on server upgrades and on-prem to cloud migration projects across a wide customer base in the Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas.


You will also be a highly motivated with a good understanding of system networks / security, installation, maintenance, O365 administration including end user desktop support.


Due to nature of this role, you will be required to visit client sites on a weekly basis within the Cambridgeshire area.


**A car and license is a must for this role!


Skills and responsibilities:

At least 1 years commercial experience within an engineering or consultancy role

Excellent communication skills and clear reporting to end users

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 to 2022 management

Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 support

AD configs and admin including DHCP / DNS / DHCP

O365 and SharePoint administration

Virtualisation Technology Experience including Hyper-V and/or VMware

2nd Factor Authentication solutions including Microsoft MFA

Backup technologies and troubleshooting


Desirable skills:

Azure

SQL Server

Intune / Defender for O365

VPNs
