Title: Senior Development Engineer

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a Cambridge semiconductor scale up who are looking for a Development Engineer experienced in mechanical testing. The purpose of this role is to design and build bespoke test systems to challenge environmental performance targets. You will need to be a hands-on engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment delivering complex systems.
The Role:
+ Design & build custom components/rigs
+ 3D CAD design
+ Test software development
+ Develop test methodologies
+ Investigate performance anomalies or failures
+ Mentor junior engineers
Requirements:
+ Degree in relevant engineering discipline
+ Good understanding of fluid mechanics
+ 3D CAD design
+ Test jig and fixture design
+ Development of test software in LabVIEW
+ Practical experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting
