The ideal candidate will have:
- Essential experience:
- Over 5 years of experience in product approvals and conformance certification.
- Familiarity with RF, EMC, SAR, Safety, and Environmental testing specifications.
- Expertise in obtaining external certifications (e.g., FCC, IC, EU) and working with external test houses.
- Proficiency in the Radio Equipment Directive, EMC Directive, LVD, CE marking, and regulatory standards such as WEEE, RoHS, and REACH.
- Desirable experience:
- Hands-on experience with product approvals, ATEX certification, and test result analysis.
- Familiarity witha variety of communication standards.
- Knowledge of RF testing tools (e.g., Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, Signal Generators).
- Identifying and interpreting regulatory requirements for products in Europe and North America.
- Developing test plans and regimes to ensure products meet mandatory conformance standards.
- Working with Project Managers and Technical Leads to prioritise and schedule testing.
- Managing both internal and external testing activities, liaising with test houses, and resolving issues.
- Maintaining detailed test records and creating a comprehensive test history library.
- Analysing and interpreting new approval standards, creating Declarations of Conformity, and preparing reports for management.
