We are looking for an internal communications expert on a contract basis, to cover maternity leave (10 months) This role is pivotal in driving strategic communications for our global HR initiatives. The contractor will be instrumental in the following areas:
- Career and Development: Execute communications for global learning initiatives, including the TQ program, leadership development through the People Leadership Credential, Workday, and essential HR processes such as skills and staffing.
- Global Recognition Program: Develop and implement communications for the transition to the new recognition platform.
- Employee Listening Activities: Provide ongoing support for initiatives like Great Place to Work, Q12, and Your Voice Matters.
- Performance Achievement and Rewards: Assist with communications that drive awareness and engagement with our performance, rewards and promotion periods.
- HR Corporate Function Communications: Support execution of HR-to-HR communications, particularly with the recent CLHRO transition, which has driven increased need for support.
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong experience in internal communications or a similar role within a medium- to large corporate or government environment; professional services background is a plus.
- Excellent written, editorial and verbal communication skills. (50%)
- Strong project/campaign management and organizational skills. (30%)
- Data analysis and reporting experience (20%)
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across the organization.
- Proficiency in communication tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, MS Teams, MS Viva Engage)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, PPT, Excel)
- Good working knowledge of collaboration tools including MS Teams and Viva Engage
- Some working knowledge and practical use of CMS tools, particularly SharePoint and WordPress
- Some working knowledge or willingness to learn Power BI
