HR / Admin and Office Manager

Reed Business Support is working with a software business in Cambridge. They are seeking an experienced HR / Admin and Office Manager to oversee HR processes and manage their office operations efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining their staff handbook, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The successful candidate will also handle facilities management and play a key role in recruitment and employee relations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • HR Management:
    • Update and maintain the Staff Handbook and company policies.
    • Manage the entire onboarding and offboarding process.
    • Administer the employee benefits programme and ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Recruitment:
    • Serve as the point of contact for recruitment agencies and internal hiring managers.
    • Manage job postings, recruitment events, and intern-related activities.
    • Oversee the recruitment process.
  • Facilities Management:
    • Oversee office maintenance, manage service contracts, and ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies.
    • Arrange necessary maintenance, monitor office cleaning, and handle issues related to office facilities.
  • General Administration:
    • Organise company events, travel arrangements for conferences, and manage office supplies.
    • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the office environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in HR and office management.
  • Understanding of employment laws, GDPR, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing sensitive situations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
