A great opportunity for an Optical Engineer to join an exciting start-up in Cambridge who are developing AR/VR headsets.This optical engineer is expected to design, test, and optimise optical components/systems. There are two positions to be filled, an experimental-heavy role and a design/simulation-heavy role.

Requirements:
  • A PhD in a relevant field OR Masters degree plus some experience
  • Experience developing optical imaging systems
  • Experience in free space optical systems
  • Experience in bench-top optical experiments
  • Experience in ray tracing software and optical design/simulation tools Zemax, OpticStudio or similar
  • Ability to relocate to Cambridge/ surrounding areas to be onsite with team
