A great opportunity for an Optical Engineer to join a start-up in Cambridge developing AR/VR headsets.
The roles include an experimental-heavy position and a design/simulation-heavy position.
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field or a Master's degree with some experience, along with experience in developing optical imaging systems.
Experience with free space optical systems, bench-top optical experiments, and ray tracing software like Zemax or OpticStudio is required.
The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates must be able to relocate to the Cambridge area.

A great opportunity for an Optical Engineer to join an exciting start-up in Cambridge who are developing AR/VR headsets.This optical engineer is expected to design, test, and optimise optical components/systems. There are two positions to be filled, an experimental-heavy role and a design/simulation-heavy role.

Requirements:

A PhD in a relevant field OR Masters degree plus some experience
Experience developing optical imaging systems
Experience in free space optical systems
Experience in bench-top optical experiments
Experience in ray tracing software and optical design/simulation tools Zemax, OpticStudio or similar
Ability to relocate to Cambridge/ surrounding areas to be onsite with team
