Night Support Worker

A job opportunity has arisen for a Night Support Worker in Cambridge. This is a role working at a highly respected charity working within their supported housing services on a full time basis.  

Length:                       3 months ongoing

Hours:                         Night shifts – 8pm – 8am (4 days on, 4 days off)

Location:                   Cambridge

Rate of Pay:              £15.50 per hour via an umbrella company PAYE 

The role involves:

•             Providing a night support service to residents in a mental health service  

•             Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise

•             Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable

•             Controlling access to the building

•             Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents

•             Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour

•             Dealing with health and safety issues

•             Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered

•             Contacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident

Additional requirements:

•             An Enhanced DBS from within the last year with the adults list checked

•             Experience or an interest in working with vulnerable people

•             Good IT skills including Microsoft packages
