Join our clients Bursary department as a Pay & Pensions Administrative Support, where you will be instrumental in processing the companies pay and pension payrolls accurately and in line with current legislation. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong background in payroll and pensions administration.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely input and processing of payrolls, including PAYE, National Insurance, and other deductions.
  • Compliance: Follow procedures for statutory payments such as sick pay and maternity pay, and maintain payroll records.
  • BACS Payments: Prepare and process BACS payments for payroll, pensions, HMRC, childcare, and court orders.
  • Queries: Serve as the main point of contact for payroll queries from College Fellows, managers, and outside agencies.
  • Legislation Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and College policies.
  • Pension Administration: Maintain pension records, process AVC and transfer requests, and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment.
  • Reporting: Calculate, process, and submit P11ds and other required returns to HMRC and pension schemes.
  • Liaison: Work with auditors, actuaries, and government agencies as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Administrative experience in payroll and pensions, preferably with Cascade payroll system.
  • Skills: High level of accuracy, ability to interpret legislation, strong communication skills, and ability to manage work under pressure.
  • Qualifications: Educated to A Level standard; a Foundation Degree in Payroll Management and CIPP membership preferred.
