About the Company:
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable maintenance company, known for delivering high-quality property maintenance services. As their team continues to grow, they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a plumbing background to support their operations across Cambridge and the nearby villages.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be skilled in plumbing and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks in domestic properties. While plumbing will be the primary focus, experience in additional trades such as carpentry, tiling, bathroom fitting, and decorating would be beneficial. This is a mobile role, covering multiple sites, so flexibility and the ability to work independently or in a small team are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled appointments to complete maintenance tasks in customer homes.
- Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, focusing on plumbing and general property upkeep.
- Troubleshoot and resolve various issues in residential properties.
- Source parts and materials from local suppliers when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and report updates via a mobile device daily.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in occupied homes, with professionalism and courtesy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in plumbing or property maintenance.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent experience preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide clear and detailed reports.
- Positive attitude, willingness to take on a variety of tasks, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
