A growing Construction Health & Safety consultancy is looking for an experienced CDM Principal Designer to take charge of an exciting range of projects, which includes Commercial & Infrastructure. They are known for providing solutions to mostly Newbuild schemes, this consultancy works closely with respected clients to implement innovative safety solutions at every stage of construction.

This role offers you the independence to manage your projects flexibly, with the option to work from home and in-person team meetings, spending 2 days a week in the office on average.

The CDM Principal Designer Role

As the Principal Designer, you will be responsible for a portfolio of exciting projects, while both acting as Principal Designer and PD Client advisor as you work effectively within a department of 20+ CDM/H&S staff.

The CDM Principal Designer Will Have:

  • NEBOSH Construction (required)
  • Tech IOSH (minimum)
  • APS membership (preferred)
  • Design degree: Architecture / Civil Engineering / Engineering / Surveying (preferred)
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in CDM or a relevant field
  • Skills: Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
