Are you a data protection/compliance professional looking for an exciting and diverse role? We are supporting on a Data Protection/Compliance Officer opportunity at an esteemed educational institution in achieving compliance across a wide range of areas, including data protection, safeguarding, governance, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and training on regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., HR, IT, Health & Safety) to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Monitor and address compliance vulnerabilities, developing corrective action plans.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments.
  • Manage and maintain policies, ensuring they remain current and effective.
  • Oversee risk management processes and monitor risk-related activities.
  • Handle data protection matters, including responding to subject access requests and conducting privacy impact assessments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification would be preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at report writing.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
