Title: Senior Purification Process Scientist (Prep-HPLC)

We are currently working with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry who are investing in their Small Molecule Purification department with an exciting new avenue in peptide/Oligonucleotide research.

Due to their pursuit of this area of research, they are looking to take on a Senior Purification Process Chemist with Preparatory HPLC and/or Preparatory SFC (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography) experience. This is an amazing opportunity to develop your career and be the pivotal cornerstone to this team's success.

The successful candidate will support the purification development for some of the company's chiral protein R&D projects and work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team with R&D and Process Development scientists. This will not be a routine purification role, and would benefit from someone with a background in R&D. You will need to have experience scaling up purification processes, and purification tech transfer

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Development and optimisation of small molecule purification using Prep HPLC and Prep SFC.
  • Process development and scale up of purification methods.
  • Tech transfer of in house processed to international sites.
  • Collaborating closely with a range of internal stakeholders to help define project milestones and deliverables.
  • Compiling clear and concise reports summarising your work.

Required Experience:

  • A higher education qualification in analytical chemistry, chemistry or biochemistry.
  • Experience in purification (Prep HPLC or SFC) process development with Small molecules (Essential, Oligonucleotides beneficial).
  • Experience with purification process tech transfer (Essential)
  • Experience with automating processes (Essential)
  • Experience leading and managing your own projects
  • Experience with Oligonucleotides is highly desired
