Quality Technician | Cambridge | £27,000 - £37,000

Be part of a global leader in advanced optical technologies. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join their dynamic team in Cambridge. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting quality assurance activities across production and engineering, ensuring their high-precision products meet rigorous industry standards. This is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology used in critical communications networks around the world.

Your Role:

+Check the functionality and quality of products and subassemblies.+Assemble and run test equipment according to manufacturing protocols.+Calibrate tools and equipment. Experience with callipers, micrometres, gauges.+Collaborate with engineers, cross-functional departments, and team members.+Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment or products.

Key Skills:

+An understanding of health and safety procedures and attention to detail.+Good understanding of and ability to follow manufacturing and quality processes.+Capable of interpreting engineering drawings or proposals.+Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or MES systems for data entry and tracking.+Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest process improvements.

£27-37k + Competitive package, generous holiday allowance and pension.
