Production Supervisor

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and ensure smooth production operations? We're seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Bradford. Working primarily at our B12 site, you’ll also need the flexibility to work at our BD5 site when required.

This role is a balance of 70-80% shop floor responsibilities and 20-30% office-based tasks, giving you the chance to be hands-on while also contributing to strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership
  • Organise and set up production lines to start on time, every time.
  • Motivate and manage staff to hit company targets while maintaining top quality.
  • Coach and develop team leaders to perform at their best.
  • Address performance issues with a constructive, structured approach.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, identifying root causes.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
Productivity
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean techniques.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure end-of-shift line cleardown procedures are followed strictly.
  • Provide cover for the Production Manager and lead production meetings when needed.
Quality
  • Ensure all production lines meet customer specifications.
  • Monitor traceability processes for incoming goods and finished stock.
  • Conduct regular line checks to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Address any lines with high reject rates, working with the team to investigate and resolve.
Health and Safety
  • Ensure pre-start safety checks are completed before production begins.
  • Enforce PPE usage to maintain a safe working environment.
Hygiene
  • Ensure equipment and machinery are cleaned to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, GMP, and hygiene in line with company policies.
