Business Development and Programme Director (Professional Education)
We’re seeking a proactive and collaborative Business Development and Programme Director to develop and deliver professional education programmes for IfM Engage, based at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge.
This role sits within the Executive and Professional Development (EPD) team, reporting to the Head of EPD and working alongside the Events and Marketing teams. The role holder will interface with academics from across the Institute as part of their duties.
Main purpose of the role:
- Lead and manage the development and delivery of excellent executive and professional education courses based on the research outputs from the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) and Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, with a particular focus on Technology and Innovation Management.
- Engage with technology-based and/or manufacturing organisations and their employees to co-create and sell bespoke programmes and sell places on substantive individual development programmes, often involving project-based elements.
We have many new exciting programme concepts that we are keen to develop and bring to market, and this role will play a key part in making this happen. Many of these programmes are interdisciplinary involving technology, management and policy aspects and some may involve working with other organisations to provide and integrate specialist content.
Based in Cambridge, the role is full time, however, we are open to conversations around flexible working and operate an ‘office first’ hybrid working policy (at 60% of working time in the office).
The salary band for this role is £58,000 – £64,000, plus a generous benefits package, including healthcare.
