To work with the Council’s Economic Development and Communications teams to provide targeted business facing communications and engagement support that will enhance the clients relationship with local businesses and help to achieve the client vision of One Cambridge Fair for All.

1. Support the development of a communications and engagement strategy for businesses and employers to coordinate engagement across council services, help to strengthen relationships, and build understanding of shared priorities, between businesses and the council.

2. Communications campaigns for the client's economic development function including engagement with local business audiences and promotion of the client's work to support business, feeding into client-wide communications forward planning.

3. Produce written communications for business audiences for online and offline communications channels including the media, social media, residents’ magazine, internal publications and others

4. Produce, commission and manage the development and deployment of digital communications products for use across online communications channels, supervising external suppliers to agreed specifications

5. Analyse, measure and evaluate communications output and services and then research and provide recommendations on ways of improving impacts

6. Lead on the creation and implementation of communications activity and materials for particular projects and programmes using a range of online and offline communications channels

7. Abide by the national code of practice in local government communications and follow the principles set out in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations code of conduct for communications professionals
