Procurement Manager

On the back of an internal promotion, Hays Procurement are delighted to be working with this local employer of choice as they recruit a Procurement Manager to take ownership of a small team of committed purchasing professionals. There will be a requirement to be based on site initially with the clear expectation that this will shift to 2-3 days per week once team and stakeholder relationships are in place. This role will take responsibility for all areas of Indirect spend and will also support engineering stakeholders with bespoke project requirements. Working as business partner with an international stakeholder base, key areas of focus will include: managing a varied portfolio of procurement projects; coaching and managing a small team, influencing and up-skilling stakeholders embed best practice; drive collaboration and engagement with stakeholders; and drive vendor performance and innovation.To succeed in this role, you will be able to work in a complex working environment and be able to cope with ambiguity. With demonstrable and relevant procurement experience, you will have excellent stakeholder management skills and the intellectual agility to adjust your approach accordingly. You will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
