We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician with a good eye for detail. You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. You also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement. The work will be for our defence client who are based in Cambridge.

This opportunity is open for applicants with either Quality or Inspection experience. To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of inspection processes and test equipment, high degree of competence in interpreting technical drawings, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Tasks:

Undertake incoming inspections of both commercially available and in house designed parts from external Suppliers and internal manufacturing units.

Independent inspection and testing of manufactured products and assemblies.

Ensuring that the ā€œEnd Item Data Packsā€ are complete and correct.

Issue MRB's, Internal Inspection Reports, and SNCR's as required.

Ensure all Internal Inspection Reports are closed in the timely manner and effective corrective actions implemented.


Experience:

At least 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment as an inspector or quality technician.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Including: - MIG and TIG welding, joining technology, metal fabrication techniques, electrical and pneumatic systems, machining techniques and painting systems. Other backgrounds may be considered for strong candidates.

Ability to stand for long periods.

Hold a full UK driving license.
