The Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team, managing costs, budgets, and contracts while maintaining financial control and profitability. You'll work closely with a small, dedicated team on prestigious projects, gaining exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing cost plans, valuations, and project budgets.
  • Procure and manage subcontractor packages, negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money.
  • Monitor and control project costs, maintaining financial efficiency.
  • Prepare payment applications and process subcontractor payments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

About You:

  • Ideally, a few years of post-degree experience in Quantity Surveying, though applicants in their final year of university will also be considered.
  • Personable, dedicated, and capable of working effectively within a small, successful team.
  • Strong IT, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong working relationships.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
