My client is a dynamic construction company specialising in commercial builds, including medical centres, day care centres, and university facilities. Their projects range from £5 million to £20 million in value, and they pride themselves on delivering high-quality results that meet our clients' needs.
Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate currently be in a Project Management role or will be a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager from ideally a Tier One construction firm and be eager to take a step up. Either way all candidates’ will be looking to advance their career by taking on challenging and rewarding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
- SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications are a must.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with projects for universities, particularly within the Cambridge area.
- Experience, working on datacentres, schools, hospitals/medical centres would be beneficial.
Location Requirements: Candidates should reside in or near Cambridgeshire and be willing to travel to project sites in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk as needed.
