Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor: £45-55k basic + car/ car allowance, fuel card and more!

Senior Quantity Surveyor: £60-80k basic + car/ car allowance, fuel card and more!

Overview:

Our client are industry leaders in residential groundworks/ civils projects, operating across 7 regions and continuing to expand year on year, now is an excellent time to be joining the team! This company have an excellent reputation for employee retention, with a strong focus on continuous internal progression that shows across the different regions with individuals development.

The continuous growth has created the need for a QS or Senior QS to join the team in Cambridgeshire. Operating across the region, furthest north being Peterborough and South to Bishops Stortford, with the majority of sites in and around Cambridge. Along with the use of a local office the successful QS will have an active presence on various sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of all costs through full project lifecycle

  • Ensure costs and risk are minimalised, whilst enhancing value and establish continuous high standards being delivered.

  • Manage any variations to the contract, ensure building regs are being adhered to.

  • Handle site measurements to ensure accuracy of project delivery on site.

  • Assist in the oversight and development of trainee/ assistant surveyors.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Preferably from a Quantity surveying or construction degree background, however open to candidates who have progressed within a company and gained relevant experience.

  • Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor (3+ years).

  • Previous experience on groundworks/ civils, i.e roadworks, site layout, drainage etc.

  • Previous experience on residential/ new build developments.

  • Capable of handling all QS duties individually and as part of a wider team.

  • Strong communicator, experienced in overseeing site teams/ sub-contractors.

  • Authorised to work in the UK + UK driving license (no sponsorship on offer).
