Quantity Surveyor - Up to 65,000 + Package + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and ambitious team within the construction industry. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of exciting projects, with a focus on delivering quality and value throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement of subcontracts, ensuring maximum value and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with design and technical teams to identify value engineering opportunities during the design and procurement phases.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final account statements.
  • Regularly review and update project risk and opportunity schedules to identify cost impacts.
  • Prepare and update cost reports, cashflow forecasts, and subcontractor accruals.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual and financial procedures throughout project delivery.
  • Assist in resolving subcontractor disputes and support smooth contract administration processes.

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Solid experience in managing housing development projects, particularly in mixed tenure schemes.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and programmes.
  • Proficiency in using construction and project management software such as Bluebeam, Coins, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract, including JCT and affordable housing agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A full UK driving licence.
