Quantity Surveyor - Heavy Civil Projects

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in heavy civil engineering. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, experience with NEC contracts, and a proactive approach to cost management and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
路Develop and manage budgets, contracts, estimates, and financial reports
路Conduct on-site measurements and review drawings to assess work progress
路Perform cost analysis for maintenance and repairs, ensuring value for money
路Identify potential risks and propose effective solutions
路Carry out feasibility studies to evaluate client requirements
路Assess and compare sub-contractor quotations, ensuring best value procurement
路Oversee contract management, including variations, valuations, and final accounts
路Ensure all projects comply with quality, safety, and environmental regulations
What You Need to Succeed
路Proven track record in heavy civil engineering projects
路Expertise in NEC contracts and contract management
路Strong numerical and IT proficiency
路Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills
路Willingness to travel regionally as required
路Full UK driving licence
路Must be eligible to work in the UK
