Quantity Surveyor - Heavy Civil Projects
Location: Cambridge

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in heavy civil engineering. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, experience with NEC contracts, and a proactive approach to cost management and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
·Develop and manage budgets, contracts, estimates, and financial reports
·Conduct on-site measurements and review drawings to assess work progress
·Perform cost analysis for maintenance and repairs, ensuring value for money
·Identify potential risks and propose effective solutions
·Carry out feasibility studies to evaluate client requirements
·Assess and compare sub-contractor quotations, ensuring best value procurement
·Oversee contract management, including variations, valuations, and final accounts
·Ensure all projects comply with quality, safety, and environmental regulations
What You Need to Succeed
·Proven track record in heavy civil engineering projects
·Expertise in NEC contracts and contract management
·Strong numerical and IT proficiency
·Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills
·Willingness to travel regionally as required
·Full UK driving licence
·Must be eligible to work in the UK
