An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a long term, fast paced highways maintenance contract in Cambridge. The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely alongside a busy and growing team and taking responsibility for their own portfolio of work across the framework.

As a Quantity Surveyor, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Measuring, recording and valuing work undertaken by subcontractors
  • Overseeing the frameworks budget, ensuring all costs are inline with the agreed limits
  • Cost reporting and value management
  • Preparing and manage tender documents for contractors and suppliers
  • Assess subcontractor and supplier applications for payment
  • Manage and resolve contractual disputes that might arise
  • Identify potential risks relating to costs, time and quality
  • Maintain regular contact with the client, providing updates on financial and contractual matters
