CSR is working in partnership with a Top Tier Building & Civil Engineering contractor based in Northern Ireland, for their recruitment of Senior Commercial Professionals. Wishing to appoint the following:

  • Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil
  • Senior Quantity Surveyor - Building

Projects undertaken by the company include:

  • Sports & Leisure Project, 40M
  • Terminal Project - 10M
  • Flood Protection Scheme, 40M
  • Windfarm Project, 10M
  • Healthcare Project, 60M
  • New Build Warehouse Development, 45M
  • Office/ Commercial Building, 80M
  • Student Accommodation, 50M
  • Mixed Use Development, 10M
  • Independent Living Quarters, 40M
  • Retirement Living, 80M

The company have an excellent reputation of providing Major Building & Civil Engineering projects throughout the UK & Irish Construction markets. They have a strong presence within a range of sectors, by using an innovative approach to the all of the work they commit to.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be expected to handle the budget of these projects, manage contractual arrangements, monitor the projects, produce financial reports, minimise costs and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Handling contract administration including advising on commercial contractual position under the subcontracts
  • Measurement of main/sub contract works /take-offs
  • Identification, valuation and agreement of variations
  • Preparation of Final Accounts

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-6 years' experience Quantity Surveying experience
  • Educated to degree level in a related subject
  • Previous main contracting experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Outstanding management & organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work, under pressure in a busy environment
  • To communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Packages, Word, Excel, Outlook. COINS financial software, or similar.
