Role: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Cambridge, CambridgeshireSalary: £50,000 to £64,000 Benefits: £6,500 car allowance, 27 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension, healthcare, bonus, flexible working, excellent career prospectsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a £90m heavy civil engineering project in Cambridge. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of the team, developing junior surveyors and managing a number of large packages across the project.As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Contract administration (NEC)
  • Cost management duties including cost planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage the procurement process by preparing tender documents, managing subcontractor negotiations and contract agreements
  • Prepare/agree interim valuations and process payment applications from subcontractors
  • Identify, analyze and mitigate financial and contractual risks
  • Provide the commercial leadership team with detailed financial reports showing cost-to-complete forecasts, cash flow analysis and project performance
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff
