Position: Rent Regulation Officer
Contract: Temporary, ASAP - 12 Month Contract
Possibility of Extension: Yes, based on performance
Pay Rate: 18.26 per hour (PAYE)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 17:00
Location: CB2 1BY

Job Purpose:

To provide tenants with information and advice on any refund owed through the Rent Regulation Project.

To support the Rent Regulations Customer Project Manager to deliver this time-limited project to ensure council tenants receive refunds owing to them in a timely manner, and through the effective delivery of a customer-focused service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the project's objectives, seeking advice and guidance from the project manager where necessary.
  • Proactively input and collaborate with the manager to track the project plan and assist in revising, based on the changing needs or requirements throughout the project.
  • Support the manager to continuously improve the processes devised to deliver this complex and time-critical project by planning, monitoring and evaluating the project during its lifetime.
  • Provide statistical analysis on the project's performance to the manager as required.
  • Assist in compiling and updating reports on the project status to present to managers, other Council Departments, Members or Stakeholders where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Legal or Finance knowledge
  • MRI/Orchard knowledge
  • Analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Case management & housing management systems
  • Experience in working with staff teams to embrace change, maintain high performance and seek to improve services continuously
  • Providing customer-focused services
  • Working in a time-critical environment
  • Excellent analytical ability, reconciliation and advanced-level Excel skills
    Facilitation and listening skills
