With strong investment and FSC accreditation, the business is poised for significant growth and seek a driven Business Development Manager to tap into its untapped potential.

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire/Bedfordshire areas

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE + 5% commission on new business, £6,000 car allowance or hybrid car, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension (3%), credit card, laptop, mobile etc.

Role Overview: We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager who thrives in both autonomous and team environments. You will be responsible for generating your own leads, nurturing existing accounts, and driving growth in key sectors including Food, Horticultural, Agriculture, Pharma, Fresh Produce, Retail, Ecommerce, and Industrial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities in designated territories.
  • Account Management: Manage and nurture existing accounts valued at £1 million+, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends and areas for growth within targeted sectors.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Required

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the packaging or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Food, Horticultural, Agriculture, Pharma, Fresh Produce, Retail, Ecommerce, and Industrial sectors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Full UK driving license.
