Accounts Assistant

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my prestigious client, based inCambridge, CB24,for an experiencedAccounts Assistantto join on a full-time, permanent basis.

As part of the finance team within this expanding business, the successful candidate will help facilitate the smooth running of the finance department, from producing sales invoices to processing purchase invoices, reconciliations, as well as helping with the daily ad hoc tasks.

About the role:

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Matching delivery notes & purchase orders
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Raising and sending sales invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining Debtors ledger to ensure no late payments or bad debts
  • Maintaining Creditors ledger ensuring that all suppliers are paid accurately and on time
  • Credit card statement reconciliation and entry to ledger
  • Dealing with queries and requests
  • Helping to prepare for yearly audit
  • Assisting Finance Manager
  • Any other ad hoc finance tasks, as required by the business

Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Salary up to 30,000 - dependent on experience

About you:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Xero and Sage accounting experience is also desired
  • Competent daily user of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
