Junior Finance Assistant

Cambridge (hybrid, close to city centre train station, no on-site parking)

£24,000-£26,000 per annum

A highly successful technology company based in Cambridge, currently have an exciting opening for a career driven and motivated individual to join them on a permanent basis, in the role of Finance Assistant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will see the successful candidate start at an entry level, and taking on more responsibility over time, as the company grows and the role evolves.

Duties will centre around the billings and payroll functions, and will include:

  • UK payroll calculations and processing
  • Revenue calculations and assisting with reporting
  • Processing of purchase invoices
  • Processing of staff expenses
  • Making payments to suppliers
  • Bank and statement reconciliations

This client is ideally looking for a recent Graduate who is genuinely looking to start an accounting career, however will also consider those with administration experience looking for a first accounts position.

Candidates should have a good standard of education, a professional and polite manner, excellent spoken and written English, and strong IT skills with the capability to learn quickly.

Study support will be offered to those who would like it (ACCA/CIMA/AAT), as well hybrid working, and a generous number of snacks! This client's premises are based close to the station and there is no on-site parking, however the area is very well served by the bus network.
