CK Group are recruiting for an Administration and Laboratory Assistant, to join an independent diagnostic laboratory in the animal health industry, at their site based in Cambridge, on a permanent basis.

Our client is a well established, independent diagnostic laboratory providing services to veterinary practices across the UK and worldwide.


Location:

This role is located in Cambridge and is site based.


Role:
  • Support the Office Manager and other members of the team in striving for customer service excellence in internal and external activities as well as performing all routine administration duties.
  • Sample reception and scanning of requests into computer system (Matrix).
  • Use of the Matrix LIMS system and data entry.
  • Answering the telephone to clients and answering email enquiries from clients.
  • Preparation and dispatch of laboratory supplies to clients.
  • Filing of request forms.
  • Adherence to written Operating Procedures and Health & Safety rules.
  • Awareness of radioactive procedures as defined by the Environment Agency.

Your Background:
  • Qualification or experience in a scientific environment would be an advantage.
  • Ability to learn and understandthe important elements of laboratory diagnostic testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent care and attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • An interest in science relating to animals.
