Responsibilities:

  • Hold responsibility of the care and welfare of small rodent
  • Carrying out health checks on rodents
  • Be willing to work weekends on a rota basis
  • Make observations and keep accurate records
  • Cage cleaning and washing
  • Performing general husbandry tasks such as feeding and watering

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with animals in a laboratory setting
  • Previous experience working with rodents, preferably mice or rats
  • Great understanding of ASPA and the 3Rs
  • A personal license would be advantageous
