Day to Day of the Role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive classroom management.
  • Contribute to the development of the school curriculum and participate in departmental activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share teaching practices and coordinate learning activities.
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in Science or a related subject.
  • A teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent for secondary education.
  • Experience as a Science Teacher in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the UK science curriculum.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
