The Stores Operative will be a key member of a team using our in-house MRP system to manage the receipt of deliveries and the dispatch of goods from the stores facility. This role involves ensuring proper storage and addressing any discrepancies that arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately allocate tooling and fixtures, while tracking item locations throughout the production process.
  • Keep the tooling register up to date to ensure smooth and documented production flow.
  • Communicate with suppliers to address deliveries and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain precise records within the MRP system.
  • Select products according to job cards.
  • Handle products in accordance with our manual handling procedures.

Experience:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAGE/MRP systems for stock allocation, issuing, transferring, and monitoring stock levels.
  • Understanding of product traceability, including stock history, batch numbers, certificates of conformity, and work orders.
  • Knowledge of stock rotation methods.
  • Strong understanding of units of measure.
  • Familiarity with relevant documentation (e.g., certificates, dispatch notes).
  • A current forklift license is a plus.
  • Knowledge of transport booking processes, related paperwork, and couriers is advantageous.
  • Experience with safe manual handling practices.
