Our client, based in South Cambridgeshire, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic engineer. There is a lot of travel and driving in the role; as an integral member of the Field Service Engineer team, you will visit companies across the UK and N. Ireland and can expect to be away for up to 2-3 nights during a service tour week (occasionally longer). When not working away at customer sites, you will be working on site at our client’s service centre in South Cambridge.
With an emphasis on exemplary customer services, our client’s small team of fully trained service engineers has an enviable reputation for professionalism and efficiency, and the company prides itself on its friendly team environment.
The role will encompass servicing, calibrating and repairing a range of high-quality gas analysers, gas mixers and leak detection equipment.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified to ONC, or Level 3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have an understanding of Mechanical Engineering
- A current, clean, UK driving licence
- Good computer literacy; the service and calibration process is fully electronic (via PC tablet and a Business Central 365 application)
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability and confidence to work alone, without supervision
- A willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
This role would be perfect for someone who is already a Field Service Engineer, ideally with experience in the food industries. It would also suit a recently qualified trainee looking for their first role or the next step in their career. Full and extensive product training, tailored to your skills and previous experience, will be provided; training will be based at the Service Centre in South Cambridge and onsite with one of the Field Service Engineers. Alongside multiple other benefits, our client will provide a company vehicle and tools, and there will be allowances for overnight stays.
