Together with our client we are looking for a School Site Warden

The role of the School Site Warden involves ensuring the security, safety, and overall upkeep of the school premises. Responsibilities include securing the site by locking buildings and gates, conducting site patrols, overseeing traffic and parking, and ensuring appropriate signage is in place. The warden also acts as the liaison for Emergency Services, escorts unauthorized individuals off the premises, and handles incidents, recording them in daily logs.

Additionally, the warden responds to fire alarms, participates in evacuation procedures, and assists with fire safety checks. The role includes overseeing parking safety, conducting regular health and safety checks, and wearing appropriate safety clothing. The warden may also assist with portering duties, such as taking deliveries or handling external collections.

The warden must adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring the protection of children by following child protection policies and reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead. The position also requires knowledge of health and safety protocols, confidentiality, and data protection legislation.

Other duties include flexibility in responding to the school’s needs, maintaining a secure and safe environment, and working with senior staff to ensure the school’s operations run smoothly and in compliance with all regulations.

Hours of work: • Monday to Friday 16:00 to 22:30, alternate weekends working a split shift: o Saturday 08:00 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 15:00 and 21:00 to 22:30 o Sunday 10:00 to 12:00 and 21:00 to 22:00, and on call when not on site from Sat 07:00 to Mon 07:00 for emergencies
