Python Software Developer

A brilliant opportunity for a Python Software Developer to join an exciting tech-for-good start-up in Cambridge, which is making technological advances and solutions using machine learning techniques within healthcare. Joining a company founded by experts in their field, this is a unique opportunity to truly make a difference by helping in the advancement of diagnosis & treatment of disease.

Location: Cambridge, UK - hybrid working - the amount in office depends on project requirements but you should be available to come in twice a week if required.

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 per annum + comprehensive benefits

Requirements for Python Software Engineer:

  • Proficient in Python programming - with a good level of commercial experience
  • Excellent academic history including 2.1 or first class degree and ABB at A Level (or international equivalent)
  • Writes clear, well written, and easily maintainable code
  • Experienced with CI/CD processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Natural ability to quickly pick up and learn new technologies
  • Any experience in the following would be highly beneficial: SQL, Unix, Django, JavaScript, React, Next.js, AWS, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes (but please still apply if you don't meet these!)

Responsibilities for Python Software Engineer:

  • Develop software solutions for a cloud based platform & web-based User Interface
  • Ensure well-designed, easily maintainable, and tested code
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Design technical solutions
  • Work independently
