We are seeking a Yard Operative with a valid in-date accredited Counterbalance Forklift licence for a position in Histon, Cambridgeshire, offering £13.08 per hour.
The role requires immediate availability and entails outdoor work, including operating baling and compacting equipment, loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring recycling bins are available.
Candidates should ideally have previous experience and be flexible in assisting colleagues as needed while adhering to health and safety requirements.
The position offers temp-to-perm opportunities after 12 weeks if suitable, with guaranteed hours and a friendly working environment.

Experience needed:

VALID IN DATE ACCREDITTED COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT LICENCE (RTITB/ITTSAR)

MONDAY TO THURSDAY 06:00-15:00

FRIDAY 06:00-12:45

TEMP TO PERM AFTER 12 WEEKS IF SUITABLE

Mach Recruitment is recruiting for a YARD OPERATIVE- FORKLIFT DRIVER to work in a in a large warehouse and distribution site in HISTON, CAMBRIDGESHIRE CB24 9NR.

The role:

As a YARD OPERATIVE you will be working outdoors, your duties will be as follows:

Operating baling and compacting equipment

Loading, unloading vehicles when required

Ensure recycling bins are available at al times, to meet the requirement of the factory

Assisting colleagues in the area (off the truck if required)

Organising skip/recycling collections

General housekeeping

About you:

As a Yard Operative you will have the following skills and experience:

Start immediately and are looking for long term work

Ability to work outdoors

Valid in date accredited Counterbalance Forklift licence

Previous experience would be an advantage

Liaise closely with Managers & Site Services

Conform to H&S requirements

Undertake a Clean as you Go policy

Flexibility to assist colleagues in the area working off the truck.
