About the Role:

As an Architectural Technician, you’ll be at the heart of their projects, working alongside a team from design, through planning and building control. Your main responsibility will be to develop detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications for residential, education and commercial projects.

You will ensure all designs adhere to current building regulations, safety standards, and sustainability guidelines. In addition, you’ll conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve any technical challenges, ensuring that designs are executed as intended.

Key Responsibilities of the Architectural Technician:

  • Collaborate with architects and design teams to create detailed technical drawings and construction documents.
  • Utilise AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software to develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Assist in preparing planning applications, building regulations submissions, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data, address design challenges, and ensure project success.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and suppliers to streamline the building process and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications and Skills for Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Architectural Technician with a strong background in technical drawing, building regulations, and construction processes.

  • Degree or relevant certification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
