- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of BRC standards and HACCP, along with excellent relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
This is a key role focused on developing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with customer codes of practice, industry standards, and food safety legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and validate the site QMS to ensure operational and legislative compliance.
* Manage internal and external audit schedules and oversee corrective actions.
* Act as a key member of the HACCP team, ensuring the compliance of new processes and products.
* Investigate and respond to customer complaints and audit non-conformities.
* Liaise with customers on technical matters, ensuring exceptional service.
* Support and coach team members, including apprentices and placement students.
* Deputise for the Technical Manager and support QA operations as needed.
* Drive a culture of food safety and quality awareness across the site.
About You:
You will be a hands-on professional with a proactive approach and the confidence to operate in customer- and auditor-facing environments. You will have:
* Experience in Quality Systems or Technical Services and Auditing within food manufacturing.
* Lead Auditor training or equivalent would be desirable
* Strong knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP and Food Safety certified
* Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team and lead by example.
Your role will be liaising with various departments across the site, and the position will suit a self-motivated and engaging personality with the ability to communicate at all levels.
