RF testing, measurement, characterisation and test automation
You’re an experienced RF Test Engineer looking for a new challenge. You enjoy working on nascent technology that solves real-world problems. You have experience working in a start-up, and understand the dynamics and pressures within a fast-paced environment.
This Cambridge company have designed and developed RF based technology that can be used in smart wearables and mobile devices. They are growing their engineering team and look to hire an RF Test Engineer. Key responsibilities for the role include: development of measurement systems and characterisation of RF technologies; implementation of automation processes and test scripts; ensuring compliance with RF test standards; general troubleshooting during testing phases.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics (or similar) including demonstrable understanding of RF concepts.
- Experience using RF test equipment (network analysers, signal generators and spectrum analysers).
- Competence conducting RF measurements, developing measurement setups and RF characterisation.
- Experience in RF test compliance.
- Scripting experience (Python or MATLAB) for automated testing.
- Good documentation skills.
Candidates are expected to be able to go in to their Cambridge based offices, with possible hybrid working when projects allow. Only applicants with full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK will be considered. This role is suited for someone in a similar role rather than those looking to transition into such a position. On offer is an excellent remuneration package including the company share option scheme.
