Electrically biased Engineering Supervisor to manage a team of 3 Maintenance Engineers.

Salary in the region 50,000 - 60,000

Monday - Friday 7:00 - 17:00 (1 week on call in 4)

Qualification & Skills:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Understanding of PLC programming logic
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
  • Certified to NVQ level 3 equivalent in leadership or supervision, or managed a team for a minimum of 2 years
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with operations staff, external contractors and suppliers
  • Computer literate to encompass all current MS Office Applications
  • Competent to be able to work at height and in confined spaces
  • Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills

The role

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and repairs for all electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Plan, cost and manage all installations.
  • Maintaining audit records (knowledge of BRC would be preferred).
  • Ensure Procedure and Maintenance Records are maintained.
  • Manage on-site contractors
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and safe systems of work for all planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Work with the Operations Team to offer engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements in relation to the continuous improvement of electro- mechanical equipment.
  • Undertake risk assessments for all electro-mechanical equipment, in liaison with the Engineering Manager and the Health & Safety Consultant.
  • To lead and develop the Engineering Team.
