Senior Transport PlannerCambridgeSalary: £40,000 - £50,000Are you a Transport Planner based near Cambridge? Do you want to join an award-winning Civil Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy? I am excited to announce my clients are looking to expand their small team of Transport Planners in their Cambridge office. They are an independent and innovative multidisciplinary consultancy working on a wide range of diverse and challenging transportation projects.With its cutting-edge services, this consultancy supports planning applications for new developments, helping to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainable development planning. As part of their team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of transportation. Working for our client is more than just a job - it's an investment in your future.RoleYou will join a team of 6 to lead and manage small to medium-sized projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Write, check and approve technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Transport statements, travel plans and technical notes
  • Prepare appeal documentation
  • Project manage schemes, including budget and time management
  • Client/ officer liaison and management
  • Assist with training junior members of staff
  • Complete/review/approve planning drawing requirements, such as visibility splays, vehicle tracking diagrams, access designs etc
  • Attendance at Public consultation events, project team/client meetings, appeal meetings & local highway authority meetings
  • Prepare fee proposals and tenders

Requirements

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Membership of relevant professional organization
  • At least 4 years of transport planning experience
  • Proficient with the use of junction modelling software, such as Arcady and Picady
