Transport Planner (Development Planning)
Location: Cambridge
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their Development Planning team in Cambridge. This role involves delivering high-quality transport planning services to support development projects from inception to implementation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in transport planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
路Prepare and review transport assessments and statements to support planning applications.
路Conduct traffic modelling and analysis using software such as TRICS, Junctions 9, LinSig, and VISSIM.
路Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
路Develop and promote sustainable transport strategies.
路Interpret and apply transport policies to development proposals.
路Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
路Prepare technical reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
路Oversee and conduct transport surveys and data analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:
路Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
路3-5 years of experience in transport planning within the development planning sector.
路Proficiency in transport modelling and analysis software.
路Strong understanding of UK transport policy and planning processes.
路Experience in preparing and reviewing transport assessments and statements.
路Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
路Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
路Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, TPS, ICE) is desirable.
