Key Responsibilities:
- You will lead and manage small to medium-sized projects with a focus on efficient budget and time management, incorporating input from senior colleagues.
- Responsibilities include drafting and occasionally reviewing Transport Assessments, Technical Notes, Travel Plans, and Access Appraisals.
- You will also oversee and review planning drawings, such as visibility splays, vehicle tracking diagrams, and access designs.
- In addition, you'll participate in project team, client, and Local Highway Authority meetings, and assist in preparing materials for and attending Public Consultations. Building strong working relationships with architects, planners, and local highways officers is essential.
- You will also prepare fee proposals for small to medium projects and contribute to larger site projects.
Job Requirements:
- Possessing a degree-level qualification or equivalent, along with experience in transport planning, potentially with membership in a professional organization, you should be familiar with relevant design guidance and local planning policies.
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication is essential, enabling you to respond effectively to high standards of demand.
- The ability to prioritize your workload and work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team, is crucial. You should also have experience with computer-based systems, including Microsoft programs, and be proficient in AutoCAD, TRICs, and other modeling software.
