About the Role:
We're looking for a hands-on, electrically biased Maintenance Manager to lead a close-knit team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is a mix of hands-on maintenance, project work, and team development. You'll play a key part in keeping the production facility running efficiently while also driving improvements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs, diagnosing faults efficiently.
  • Plan, cost, and manage installations and project work.
  • Maintain and update engineering records, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee and manage on-site contractors.
  • Work closely with the operations team to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure risk assessments and safe working procedures are in place.
  • Manage stock control for technical spares and consumables.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team to ensure high performance and professional growth.

About You:

  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
  • Previous experience in leadership or supervision within an engineering team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and external contractors.
  • Experience within the Food or Manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
