Job Title: Health and Social Care Lecturer

We are inviting applications for the position of Health and Social Care Lecturer at our educational institution in Cambridge. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and training in the field of health and social care. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing future professionals by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the health and social care sector.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures and practical sessions in health and social care.
  • Develop and prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that meet curriculum goals and objectives.
  • Assess and evaluate the progress and development of students, providing timely feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in the health and social care field to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and expand program offerings.
  • Participate in departmental and college activities, and engage with industry partners to enhance the educational program.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE, Certificate in Education).
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in the teaching subject area.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour and interacting with 16–19-year-olds in an educational or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
