We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work for our well-known client based in Cambridge. The position is permanent role working Monday to Friday (no nights) and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.


Main Duties

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance (electrical and mechanical)
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and set up AV equipment for events.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, and coordinate work schedules for repairs and new installations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safety standards.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians, the Facilities Supervisor, and the Facilities Manager.


Successful Candidate

  • Qualified Electrician (ECS card or equivalent) preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, health and safety protocols in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt to changing situations.
