Job purpose and main duties
- Oversee Machinery set-up and operate machines
- Responsible for setting up and operating CNC Grinding, Milling, Turning or Horizontal Milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
- Loading materials and unloading finished products
- Adjust speeds, cutter paths and other machine settings as required
- Follow technical drawings working to customer tolerances
- Carefully follow procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation
- Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs. Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
- Ensure machines are well stocked with tools and material to ensure limited downtime
- Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery
- Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods
- CNC Machinists must be Time Served
- Experience in either CNC Milling, Turning, Grindingor Horizontal Milling
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
- Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
- Start date ASAP
- Attractive hourlyrates
- Shift pattern working (Dayshift, Backshift, Nightshift)
